Our Distillery | Daffy’s Gin

OUR DISTILLERY

Location

Nestled amongst pine trees in the heart of the Scottish Highlands sits Strathmashie Distillery, located within an area of outstanding natural beauty at the geographical centre of Scotland in the Cairngorms National Park.

Our distillery is situated within the grounds of Strathmashie House, a Victorian shooting lodge visited by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the summer of 1847 and is the brand home of Daffy’s Gin.

‘Strath’ is derived from the gaelic word ’srath’ meaning a wide open valley. The River Mashie flows through the area and is the source of the exceptional water for the distillery.

Activities

Our distillery offers residential accommodation and various gin making and foraging experiences. The accommodation is also available for those wanting to enjoy other local activities, such as paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, climbing, skiing, snowboarding and wild swimming.
